Brookland Valley Reserve Chardonnay 2023 from Margaret River is a serious, high‑class chardy, pale straw in the glass yet absolutely loaded with flavour and tension from old‑vine Gingin clone fruit in Wilyabrup. The nose is intensely aromatic: pink grapefruit, lemon and nectarine, nashi pear, nougat and roasted hazelnut, with brioche, gunflint, struck match and beautifully judged toasty oak in support.
