Di Giorgio Emporio (Cabernet-Merlot-Cabernet Franc) 2021, from winemaker Peter Douglas in Coonawarra, South Australia, is a bold and refined Bordeaux-blend showing excellent regional pedigree. Deep ruby to purple hues announce aromas of blackberry, black cherry and dark plum, overlaid with violets, leather and cedar. The palate is full-bodied, rich and structured: generous tannins frame ripe fruit, integrated oak (barrique & hogshead), and a clean mineral streak lifting the long finish.
