Well-made Muscadet is proof that you don't need to overcomplicate things in order to create something special. The Vinet family seem acutely aware of this, as since they started farming and producing wine in 1948 - save for a few modest expansions and single vineyard expressions - they've produced just one style of wine under Domaine de la Quilla, all made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape grown along the Sèvre Nantaise tributary of the Loire river.
