Les Promesses is a fruit-forward effort that gives up plenty of violets, apricot and florals. Medium-bodied, it’s a serious crowd-pleaser. The Gonnet family settled in this part of the southern Rhone back in the 1600s and built the farmhouse that today serves as the estate’s headquarters in 1880.
