The 2013 Pinot Nero Case Via is soft, fruity and forward in style. Varietal notes develop in the glass, but the overall impression is of a mid-weight wine that is best enjoyed over the next few years. The 2013 is certainly pleasant, but the Sangioveses at Fontodi are on an entirely other level.
