Huia Chardonnay - Crafted by Claire and Mike Allan of Huia Vineyards in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley, this organic and biodynamic Chardonnay is aged 11 months in French oak with natural malolactic fermentation. It displays golden brightness with layered aromas of grilled grapefruit, honeydew melon, roasted chestnuts and delicate florals like elderflower and chamomile. On the palate it offers silky texture, vibrant acidity and length, balancing stonefruit, citrus and subtle oak spice. While critical scores for this vintage are not yet published, its pedigree and winemaking promise an elegant expression.
