Longview Whippet Sauvignon Blanc 2023, from the Adelaide Hills under winemaker Giulio & Helen Saturno, is a textbook cool-climate SB picking up fruit from four high altitude blocks planted in ’97-’98. It offers a lifted nose of white flowers, honeysuckle, cut grass and lemon rind, followed by palate flavours of gooseberry, melon, citrus peel and green bean. Bright acidity gives it precise structure; subtle skin contact adds texture without overwhelming freshness.
