McHenry Hohnen Hazel's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 from Margaret River is a powerful yet beautifully poised single‑site cabernet, certified biodynamic and built for the long haul. Aromas of cassis, cherry confection, violets and cedar mingle with bay leaf, tobacco, cocoa and gravelly earth, giving a distinctly Bordeaux‑like complexity with clear Margaret River lift. Fermented in concrete and aged 16 months in French oak (about 30% new), it’s been lauded around 95-96 points by several major critics and is expected to evolve gracefully through to about 2040.
