The Montalto Pennon Hill Chardonnay 2024, made by Chief Winemaker Simon Black in the Mornington Peninsula (Red Hill, Main Ridge & Tuerong sub-regions), is an expressive cool-climate Chardonnay with personality. Aromas of white-fleshed peach, nectarine and poached pear meld with white florals, gentle brioche and roast hazelnut. The palate shows generous stone fruit, juicy flesh, and quenching lemon acidity balanced by well-integrated oak, spice (chai, nutmeg) and a slatey mineral backbone.
