The Montalto Single Vineyard “Merricks” Pinot Noir 2023, created under Simon Black in Mornington Peninsula’s Merricks sub-zone, is a polished and expressive cool-climate pinot. Deep ruby in colour, it offers aromas of mulberry, maraschino cherry, sanguine florals and exotic spice. On the palate, juicy cherry compote and blood plum are accompanied by savoury underbrush, herbal nuance and fine, sinewy tannins.
