This Poggio Anima Belial Sangiovese 2022 shows dark ruby colour and aromas of red cherries, dark berries, raspberry, plum and a little leather, lifted by iris, rosemary, lavender and a hint of mint and pipe tobacco. The palate is medium‑bodied and fleshy yet bright, with juicy cherry and dark berry fruit framed by white pepper, clove spice and those signature fine, “Italian” tannins, all carried by refreshing acidity into a smooth, savoury finish.
