Railsback Frères ‘Les Rascasses’ Rosé 2021 from Santa Ynez Valley is a Bandol‑inspired dry rosé based on Mourvèdre, Grenache and Cinsault, made as a serious yet highly drinkable table wine. In the glass it’s pale salmon and distinctly Mediterranean: redcurrant, wild strawberry and blood orange over rose, dried herbs and salty, stony minerality. The palate is dry, lively and floral but also creamy and mouth‑coating from lees and malo, with bright acidity and a gently bitter, sea‑spray finish that makes it outstanding with food.
