Savaterre Pinot Noir 2022 (Beechworth) is a complex, aromatic wine, with lifted notes of dark cherry, dried herbs, forest spices, and a touch of truffle and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied, vibrant, and concentrated, showing focused acidity, subtle orange rind, potpourri, and cedar with fine, integrated tannins. Matured for 18 months in French oak, it's elegant and persistent, earning 96 points and praised as possibly the best to date from Savaterre.
