Sherrah Wines Red et Al. Grenache, Shiraz, Nero d'Avola 2021/2022 (12 Bottles) McLaren Vale

Grenache-Shiraz-Nero d’Avola 2021 from McLaren Vale - made by Alex Sherrah, using bush-vine Grenache (70%) from the Lacey vineyard (Tatachilla), Shiraz (19%) from higher slopes on sandy loam over limestone, plus 11% Nero d’Avola from the Petrucci vineyard - is an inspired Mediterranean-meets-McLaren blend. Rich red cherries, raspberries and plum are layered with clove, fine spice and a floral lift. Medium-full bodied, it has plush tannins softening through the mid-palate, balanced acidity and a chalky minerality that draws the wine to a long savoury finish.
