It’s the classic “red drinker’s white”, full, dry, grainy and layered, sitting between oaky Chardonnay and more hardcore skin‑contact whites. Aromas are all citrus peel and orange rind, ginger, warm spice and subdued blossom, with baser notes of oatmeal, brown rice, haystacks and sunlight, plus hints of Meyer lemon, bitter orange marmalade and earthy, sandy notes. The palate is full‑bodied and dry with grainy, sandy tannins, plum‑skin chew and fleshy pockets of fruit richness (yellow apple, pear, grapefruit, pineapple), finishing long, savoury and persistent at about 12% alcohol.
