Soho Revolver Merlot Blend 2021 from Waiheke Island is a plush, dark‑fruited Bordeaux‑style red with serious structure and polish. In the glass you’re looking at ripe blackberry, cassis and plum, layered with raspberry, cocoa, baking spices, tobacco leaf and a little graphite and cedar from quality French oak. The palate is medium‑full bodied with generous black fruit at the core, framed by velvety but firm, chocolate‑edged tannins and lively acidity.
